Summer wibes!

Last weekend was kind of hectic with party, bbq, work, kite, work and I alos moved in to a friends place where I gonna live this summer in Båstad :)

Saturday evening I worked on a party where I had the responsibility over the food for 100 people all by myself, not the cooking just delivering and serving. Managed it really good. Next morning I went off to Båstad, 24 miles, to the Jessica, Ida and my moving-in-together-party. But there was good wind this day, so on the way down the coast I had to have a kitesession, I had the gear with me so I went out for a few hours.

The session was ok, good wind and sunshine. I tried out the small lagoon a little bit down by the beach but it was to short room to do anything until it got to shallow, it was superflat and really nice. I got frustrated because I just wanted to train tricks over and over again, just be by my self have good wind and nobody in the way. This day there was a lot of people out and I found an other small spot where it was flat but there it was kind of crowded. No good sessh anyway, had the bar in the railey2blind three times and kept practice on the back2blind, sometimes its so hard, that sucks...

Anyway, afterwards I met up with my friends in Båstad and we started the party with bbq. I think we where about ten people in this small apartment, soo good time. I fell asleep before the party was ended because I had to go up early next morning to work. Had a kitelesson for a guy from gothenburg and a sweet girl Emma from the restaurant I work on. Went out pretty good and when I got home the party was on, it was Jessicas birthday and we had some bbq and of course cake and champagne!

Next morning I went up "early" to go to the favorite spot of waves, Dalen! It was Sick! I was over powered with my 7m2 kite and when I launched I flew 30m over the weat grass with no controll haha! until I got stop. Out on the water I was so small compared to the waves, I dont know how big they where 2.5-3m maybe in face, just had my 2/3 wetsuit and no hoddie or gloves so after one hour I was freeezzing so much. Everybody went in when came so I was alone on the water, not so smart, but in the end a guy joined me before I went in. Soo tired after that session.

Later on that day there was some activities in the harbour so Mårten, who has the kiteschool, said that a TV team will be there filming, good opportunity to show the public some kitesurf. I went out for 1-2 hours playing in the small waves, did big airs and kited in the harbour area, soo nice flat water :) maybe I´m on tv now ;) haha

On the evening Jessica, Marre and I chill´d and did some homemade pizza :) sweet

Out in the Swedish cold water again...

I had a really nice session this evening, accept that I had to look for someones board, a screw rippt out of the board and a tree was away in the lagoon. Sick ass nice lagoon, outside the sandbar there was wavekickers to play on, easy wave to unhook and do some grabs. Kind of flat inside the bay because of the current, nice! Accept thats the current is a problem if you drop your board. I went out kind of late, thought the wind was light, wrong! I kited until it started to get dark...


Tomorrow I will maybe cut down the tree and have some kite course + work the whole night on the restaurant yeay!

Summer 2010!

This summer is gonna be insane, after I finished university I will work as a kiteinstructor and with raceboats and compete in kitesurf freestyle. The first stop was last weekend in the swedish kite tour, but there was no wind at all, so no comp went off, maybe next weekend, depends on the wind. The schedule for the competitions I will join is:

Öland 5th-6th June, extra dates 12th-13th June
Landskrona xx July, no set dates yet
Falkenberg 13th-14th August, extra dates 21st-22nd August

Germany (Sylt) 22nd- 27th June
Switzerland (Lake Silvaplana) 2nd - 4th July

PKRA (Professional Kiteboarding tour)

Germany (ST. Peter Ording) 17th-25th July


I really look forward for the nearest six months, it´s gonna be soo exiting. Look forward to get some more sponsors. Hope I will meet up with the friends I met in aussie in Germany on the PKRA. And maybe visit Holly Kennedy, that I visited last week in Egypt, in UK on one of theirs competitions in the UK tour.

I got a vimeo account now so this week it will come up a vid of me and Holly that Anton Lilljegren has helped me out with. Kited with him and a few more sick ass guys in a place called Draget in Sweden, in super gusty wind, and it was so fun, loads of energy on the water. I tried to get use to the weatsuit again, I like to kite without, egypt was warm and nice.

Lifestyle Egypt

Förra måndags kväll bestämde jag mig för att ta flyget tisdag morron från stockholm till Egypten för att få kitea med en vän Holly från GB som jag träffat i Australien. Kom tillbaka till Sverige för bara några timmar sedan och har runt 300 filmklipp att gå igenom och göra film utav och en hel del bra bilder från några fotoshoot vi hade med en fotograf.


Varje dag var det upp tidigt, göra frukost och massäck till lunch, för att kunna tillbringa hela dagen på stranden. Åkte ut till Red Sea Zone med en tuktuk, kitade och solade ah hängde med gott folk och framåt sen eftermiddag så var det tillbaka till lägenheten och gå igenom alla filmklipp vi samlat på oss under dagen och förbereda oss för att gå ut. Hände något varje kväll med antingen middagar, fest på en nice klubb papas eller du Port, biljard eller hemmafester som spårade ur :)



Fick 4.5 dagar med vind och det var allt från super power i 7m2 C4:an till lit lättare vind i 10m2 kiten, eller ingen vind alls. Provade även Zephyr 17m2 och shit vilken nice kite, super steady och lit byig vind märktes inte alls av och det var inga problem att köra den när andra var på 12m2 kites. Träffade en hel del folk som körde Ozones C4:a och alla var super nöjda med kiten!

Var super kul att kitea med Holly, vi ligger på samma nivå i kitingen och det gör det extra kul. Båda två pushade varandra till att testa på nya saker och jag lärde mig back2blind, tantrum och fick tillbaka känslan i railey2blind :) provade även back2wrap men var inget varken jag eller holly satte, tanken är att sätta det iår och göra några backmobe. Holly gör PkRA touren iår och i thailand kom hon 7a och i frankrike 5a och ska snart åka till cabarete för kiting och ett stopp i touren, hoppas de går bra för henne! hade gärna följ med men jag har studier som ska avslutas och jobb som kallar, vi kommer mötas upp i tyskland och kanske england i sommar + att hon ska till brazil i oktober för några månader och jag funderar på det oxå. Många vänner som ska dit, annars står Maui ganska högt upp på listan och syd afrika efter nyår :)

Kommer kolla in den "nya" shoppen som Surfbussen har (Kitekraft) imon och sen bär det hemåt för plugg. Till helgen är det kite tour i Rågelund som jag har tänkt delta i, hoppas på bra vind!
